Case Situation

Defended driver and owner of cement truck who allegedly crashed into the side of the vehicle containing two children and two women, one of whom was pregnant at the time. Adult plaintiffs claimed the need for multiple surgeries and both fact and medical experts testified either live or by videotaped deposition.

Case Outcome

The jury rendered a unanimous verdict finding no negligence against any defendants.

Nueces County

Case Situation: Single vehicle rollover case with issues of tire failure. Injuries Involved a T5 burst fracture and paralysis from the chest down. Issues presented in the case included an employment contract arbitration clause, course and scope of employment and use verses non-use of a seatbelt. 

Case Outcome: Case settled after multiple weeks in trial.

Wharton County

1. Rear-end accident after construction vehicle backs onto the roadway. Defendant admitted drinking before the accident but jury found no negligent.

2. Rear-end accident with claimed knee and low back injuries. Jury found no negligence and no damages.

3. Intersectional collision with defendant off yield sign. Jury found no negligence on either party. Defendant driver died in a crop dusting accident before trial.

4. Intersectional collision in which defendant admitted being distracted by cell phone. Plaintiff found 75% negligent, defendant found 25% negligent.

5. Auto accident in which defendant admits drinking before collision. Jury found negligence but no damages.
